Volunteer efforts

BenderRents sponsors a local mountain bike trail on Galbraith mtn. If you enjoy mtn biking you have probably ran across our sign at the entance to “deja vu” the kids always like to stop for a photo op on their way through.

In the middle of December 2021 the BenderRents crew got the opportunity to serve our whatcom county community by helping out in the flood stricken town of Sumas. It worked out perfectly between my vacation time from my regular job and a slow time of the year for rentals that we were able to help out in a small way. I have never seen that kind of widespread devastation in a community and was utterly blown away by the number of people in our community willing to help out. We were able to make some connections with other small businesses that chose to volunteer their time to help out neighbors in any way they could. Cameron with CamsRentals volunteered his time and equipment as did Almost Everything Services LLC, these are just a couple companies among the many that I saw volunteering. These are the kind of companies that truly care about the community in which they do business.
